COOPER TROPEAU EPK

“I’m not chasing perfection—I’m chasing truth. What we play comes straight from the gut, loud, raw, and real.”

Cooper Tropeau is a 24-year-old alt-country artist from the prairies of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, leading his electrifying four-piece band The Broken Bones. Blending country storytelling with gritty rock edge and a touch of alternative cool, Cooper and his band are quickly making waves in Canada’s independent music scene with a sound that’s both grounded and genre-bending.

On August 15, 2025, Cooper released his second full-length album, “Cooper Tropeau & The Broken Bones”—a 13-track project recorded with longtime producer SJ Kardash and his bandmates: EJ Friesen (lead guitar), Liam Santha (bass), and Gunner Tropeau (drums). The album features standout singles “Prairie Fire,” “These Hands,” “There I Go,” and “Way Up”, which together have helped the band surpass 400,000 all time streams and gain growing traction with both fans and radio.

Rooted in traditional instrumentation—fiddle, steel guitar, banjo—and layered with modern textures, the record captures the raw, unfiltered energy of Cooper’s evolving sound. It’s a powerful and personal body of work that highlights not just his growth as a songwriter, but the collaborative spirit of The Broken Bones.

Since forming in 2021, Cooper Tropeau & The Broken Bones have become known for their high-energy live shows, playing festivals, rodeos, cabarets, and headlining dates across Western Canada. Whether it's an intimate venue or a rowdy outdoor crowd, the band brings passion, authenticity, and unforgettable chemistry to every performance.

They also host the annual COOPALOOZA festival, held on Cooper’s family acreage. Now in its fourth year, 2025’s edition delivered one of its most high-energy nights yet, with a crowd that showed up ready to celebrate the music and the moment.

With a new album out, a growing fanbase, and numerous shows on the horizon, Cooper Tropeau & The Broken Bones are ready to hit the road and bring their unique blend of country, rock, and soul-searching storytelling to stages across the country.
